چکیده
Cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) is the second most common non-melanoma skin cancer with over 1 million cases and an estimated 3,932 to 8,791 deaths each year in United States. cSCC patients have a 1-3% chance of developing metastasis which increases 7-13% immunosuppressed patients. The new 8th edition American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC8) classification system currently used stage cSCC, however immunosuppression not included as staging criterion. A review diagnosis seen at tertiary referral center was conducted from 2010-2020. Pathology database yielded five metastatic known primary tumor immunosuppression. These were 2:1 case-matched using age, gender, diameter 3 other cohorts: non-metastatic immunocompetent primary, SCC. majority had T T3. Immunosuppressed worse prognosis for survival compared their counterparts or those disease only 50% disease-specific (DSS) one year. 90% (p<0.0001). 40% decline probability when suggests that important risk factor determining DSS should be taken into account caring these individuals.

Clinicopatholgic Parameters Associated With Regional Lymph Node Metastasis In Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma: A Retrospective Study
Background and Objective: Oral cancer accounts for less than 3% of all cancers. Despite recent improvement in diagnostic and treatment methods, the overall survival of the disease is unfavorable. Several studies have been performed to assess factors influencing lymph node metastasis and prognosis. The aim of this study was to evaluate some clinical and pathological factors influencing lymph ...
متن کاملRole of EGFR Gene Polymorphisms in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma patients of Southeast of Iran: A Case-Control Study
Background: The decisive etiology of Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is still ambiguous, but we recognize the contribution of genetic aberration and environmental agent due to OSCC initiation. In the current study, we elucidate the potential impact of EGFR gene polymorphisms in the risk of OSCC in the southeast of Iran. Methods: Forty-eight OSCC patients along with 100 normal volunteers w...
متن کاملTongue Squamous Cell Carcinoma: A Clinical Study
Background and Objectives: Squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue (SCCOT) is the most common malignant neoplasm in oral cavity. At the time of the diagnosis of SCCOT regional metastases with a high mortality rate are common, which is due to the extensive lymphatic system drainage of the tongue. Although the level of healthcare has significantly improved, the survival rate is still low with an...

Background and Aim: This study aimed to indicate the role of epidermal growth factor (EGF) in proliferation and growth of epithelial tissue and to determine the correlation be-tween the frequency of expression of EGF receptor (EGFR) by means of immunohistochemistry with survival rate in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Materials and Methods: Thirty-eight cases of OSCC diagnosed by hemato...
متن کاملSeven-Year Survival of a Patient with Primary Tracheal Squamous Cell Carcinoma after Surgery: A Case Report
The primary tracheal cancers are very rare, and squamous cell carcinoma is its most common form, especially in smokers. Due to the late presentation of symptoms, these tumors are usually diagnosed too late, and thus, they have poor survival. The gold standard protocol for these cancers is surgical excision and adjuvant radiotherapy. Primary radiotherapy is applied for the advanced and inoperabl...
